What is micro degree program by TCS OI

TCS is launching a new offering called an online micro-degree. Students will now be able to appear for a certification test on a specified date to get an online micro-degree from TCS Ignite.

We have scheduled our first certification drive on May 27th for the Software Engineering Industrial Practice micro-degree. The test will be held in several centers across the country. 

It will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) format and will cover Computer Science basics, communication skills, and industry awareness. 

The certification fees very nominal - Rs. 399/- only.

Being India's first industry-sponsored certification for science students, it will be a very valuable addition to their professional portfolio particularly in the starting stages of your career.

It is written that if you have micro degree you can bypass interview written round(Aptitude test).
That was a miracle for me because I was so dumb at aptitude test. I have given many interviews but I wasn't able to clear written round and it also give you preference over other students.

They will mail you after your registration in Open Ignite about the micro degree.

NOTE: Most of the student said that their interview wasn't good but because of that micro degree they got selected. So I would say, everyone should do the micro degree program by TCS.

*Read the Previous Post for More Info. I was very happy when I got my interview mail. If you also get interview mail you can download your Interview Card from this link=> InterviewCard. TCS Ignite interview mail looks like this => At line 9 it is written that you have to complete a minimum of 2 tests, 2 courses, all surveys and 2 projects. All these things you have to do in OpenIgnite website=> OpenIgnite . Although, 2 projects are not mandatory. This e-mail comes with attached Declaration From which you have to print and fill details, You also have to register in  NextStepTCS  to obtain DT number which you have to fill in Declaration Form. It is mandatory to carry Declaration From and Interview Card in Interview.
