TCS is launching a new offering called an  online micro-degree.  Students will now be able to appear for a certification test on a specified date to get an online micro-degree from  TCS Ignite. We have scheduled our first certification drive on  May 27th  for the Software Engineering Industrial Practice micro-degree. The test will be held in several centers across the country.  It will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) format and will cover Computer Science basics, communication skills, and industry awareness.  The certification fees very nominal - Rs. 399/- only. After registration in  Open Ignite , you have to fill a survey on their website, the survey you have to fill details about yourself. After that, they will send you a notification to complete Aptitude test and some courses available in Open Ignite. They will ask you to complete minimum 4 challenges which are really annoying, we can do then just by uploading files in .txt, .zip format.  There is also a section in the menu bar called Code Ground, I love to do coding on code ground. They upload 2-5 coding question every week on JAVA. It helps rank us, but rank is shown in code ground are some random numbers changes all the time.  NOTE:  Even if you just register on Open Ignite and fill the survey will be enough to get an interview call from TCS. TCS mails after 4-6 month of Open Ignite registration so do it in second last semester. They will conduct the interview in your location, in any college.
